BlinkID Verify 3.6 Release: Improved Performance of Security Checks
We are introducing regular product updates for BlinkID Verify, our product for scanning and checking identity documents in real time. With every update, we’re improving the performance of security checks and expanding document coverage. New features reflect our dedication to enhancing fraud prevention and easing compliance while delivering a delightful customer experience.

Improved security checks and integration
- We improved our photocopy model to detect color photocopies better while keeping the false rejection rate low.
- ML models are now bundled with the docker image and don’t need to be downloaded.
- We added an option that allows changing the default behavior of field anonymization.
- We improved the screen presentation attack detection for all documents.
- We added Image quality checks to determine whether the identity document image is high-quality and clear enough to perform a verification assessment.
- We added ImageQualityInterpretation to specify a desired image quality strategy, ranging from high assurance to high conversion.
- Visual anomaly service deployment is now off by default, resulting in latency and throughput improvements.
- We improved the broadcasting of telemetry signals to make debugging and troubleshooting easier for each verification service.
Coverage updates
- Expanded document coverage for face photo forgery checks.
- Additional data format checks for Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, and Colombia.
- Increased fraud check coverage for US driver’s licenses issued in 2023.
- We added fraud checks for the ID documents from Paraguay and Peru.
- Improved FAR and FRR for Paraguayan ID documents.
- We enriched the logic checks for document and personal ID numbers in Australia, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Kuwait, the Philippines, UAE, and the USA.
