Identity of the controller
Microblink LLC, Trg Drage Iblera 10, Zagreb, PIN: 21173725829 and its affiliated companies (hereinafter: “Microblink”), act in the capacity of the data controller when processing your personal data as described in this Privacy Notice.
Purpose and lawful basis of the processing
Microblink intends to process your personal data for the purpose of the improvement and development of Microblink’s technology based on your freely given consent. This means you can decide whether you want to provide your consent and that the execution of rights and obligations from any agreement that forms the basis of your relationship with Microblink or Microblink’s customer who shares your images with Microblink is not dependent on this consent, and its withholding shall not have negative consequences on your relationship with Microblink or its customer. Before giving consent, please read the description of the processing to understand how your personal data is processed.
Description of processing
Upon giving consent, Microblink’s customer will share scanned images with Microblink in a secure way. We may use your data to improve and develop our technology, including making our system work better with different types of documents, fixing errors, improving accuracy, and adding new features like fraud detection. This helps us enhance the overall performance and reliability of our services.
The images shall not be used for any other purpose. Depending on the type of images shared, Microblink can process your name and last name, address, date, and place of birth, gender, sex, nationality, country of residence, signature, passport number, social security number, driver’s license number, state or national ID card number, other ID card number, personal identification number, face image, eye color, weight, height, organ donor status, other categories of data found on transferred identity documents, and biometric data (not used for undeniably identifying a person).
Personal data on real documents shall be retained for six (6) months from receiving the images and personal data on documents Microblink determined were fake, shall be retained for one (1) year or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.
Microblink shall implement all the necessary measures to protect the security and confidentiality of received Personal Data. Microblink shall not share images with any third party other than its affiliated companies.
Data subject’s rights
As a Data Subject, depending on the circumstances, you have a right to request copies of your personal data (right of access), rectify personal data you think is inaccurate, or to complete data you think is incomplete (right to rectification), erase your personal data in certain circumstances (right to erasure), restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (restriction of processing), object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (object to processing), right to data portability and a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights.
Note that Microblink does not process your data for automatic decision-making nor uses techniques for profiling.

By giving your consent, you agree that Microblink’s customer shares images of your documents with Microblink and you agree to the terms laid out in this Privacy Notice. You confirm that you are fully allowed to give this consent, and/or have obtained all necessary consents to share third-party images with Microblink.

The images shall be processed to advance and develop Microblink’s machine learning and computer vision technology. The images shall not be used for any other purpose. Depending on the type of images shared, Microblink can process your name and last name, address, date, and place of birth, gender, sex, nationality, country of residence, signature, passport number, social security number, driver’s license number, state or national ID card number, other ID card number, personal identification number, face image, eye color, weight, height, organ donor status, other categories of data found on transferred identity documents, and biometric data (not used for undeniably identifying a person).
The personal data shall be retained until no longer necessary in accordance with Microblink’s data retention policies, but no longer than 365 days, or until you withdraw your consent. Microblink shall implement all the necessary measures to protect the security and confidentiality of received Personal Data. Microblink shall not share images with any third party other than its affiliated companies.
