Data deletion requests

If you were a user of Microblink’s applications and want to delete your personal data or your account, please read the instructions in the appropriate part of the section “Specific data deletion requests”.

For any other questions and requests for deletion of personal data, please email Microblink at privacy@microblink.com. It is necessary to clearly state on which basis and through which channel you shared your personal data with Microblink so we can easily fulfill your request. Please note that Microblink may ask for additional information to determine if you are authorized to submit a particular request.

Specific data deletion requests

1. Microblink applications

1.1. IDsafe (BlinkID)

If you have used the Microblink IDsafe (BlinkID) application and have given your consent and decided to share images with Microblink, Microblink may have stored and processed the following personal data, depending on the scanned image type: e-mail address; first and last name; nationality; sex; gender; face image, date and place of birth; ID Card number (date of issuance/expiry); other ID numbers, address; personal identification number; passport number, country of residence, place of work and its address, academic title, body height, weight, eye color, organ donor status, or other biometric data, credit and debit card number,  social security number, driver’s license number, signature, as well as image, data and/or other personal data that may be present on images of scanned documents (loyalty card, healthcare card, insurance card, or any other document) or any other personal data contained on the scanned images.

Microblink keeps the images of your personal documents for five years. To request the deletion of your personal data, you can do this by following the instructions within the “Privacy and Terms” section of the app by sending a request for the deletion of your images. The e-mail sent through the app contains a unique identifier necessary to carry out the image deletion. All images associated with the unique identifier until the point of sending the request shall be deleted from Microblink’s systems. Your personal data shall be deleted within 30 days of receiving the request for deletion.

1.2. Microblink Identity

If, while using the Microblink Identity app, you chose to share your email address for the purpose of getting contacted by Microblink about its technology. Keeping your email in our databases can depend on the type and duration of our relationship.

To request deletion of your personal data, please click “Unsubscribe” within a marketing email you received or reach out to Microblink via privacy@microblink.com. Your personal data shall be deleted within 30 days of receiving the request for deletion.

2. Developer Hub account deletion

If you wanted to try out Microblink products in a trial environment, we asked you to register on Microblink Developer Hub by giving your work e-mail, password and job position.

Data shared with Microblink by registering on Microblink Developer Hub is used for setting up and maintaining your registration and to provide features available in Microblink technology as well as to update you on the new services, if you are an existing Microblink user.

To delete your account, please send a request to privacy@microblink.com and we will delete your account within 30 days. To prevent license key abuse, we will need to keep your email in our databases but it shall be used solely for the purpose of protecting Microblink’s intellectual property. All other data associated with your account shall be deleted unless there is some legal or business reason we need to keep the data. If such a reason exists, we will inform you.
